Fall 2012 - Transfer Information

Online Room Transfers

This is a 3 week process which occurs online. All dates listed below must be adhered to. All fees must be paid before transfers are made.

If your request is approved you will be contacted by the Housing Office on the dates specified below. Students with an approved request will need to come to the Housing Office to ensure all payments are taken care of, sign their transfer acceptance form and receive a transfer slip.

Round 1 - Only transfer requests for same room type, same room rate and/or mutual swaps of same room type will be processed.

• Aug. 20  - Begin accepting online transfer requests
• Aug. 26  -  Round 1 submission cut off at midnight.
• Aug. 28  - Approved students are notified by the Housing Office via email after 5pm.
• Aug. 30  - Students must accept or decline by noon on Thursday in the Housing Office*.
• Sept. 2  - Students must complete their transfer by Sunday at 6pm and check out with either their RA or the RA on duty, express checkouts are not an option for transfers.

Round 2 - All pending requests

• Sept. 2 - Transfer requests are accepted online until Sunday at midnight.
• Sept. 6 - Approved students are notified by the Housing Office via email after 5pm.
• Sept. 7 - Students must accept or decline transfer by noon on Friday in the Housing Office*.
• Sept. 9 - Student must complete their move by Sunday at 6pm and check out with either their RA or the RA on duty.

Round 3 - All pending requests

• Sept. 12  -   Approved students are notified by the Housing Office via email after 5pm.
• Sept. 13  -   Students must accept or decline transfer by noon on Thursday in the Housing Office*.
• Sept. 16  -   Student must complete their move by Sunday at 6pm and check out with either their RA or the RA on duty.
• Sept. 17  -   Fall Transfer Period is officially over.

*To accept the student must come to the Housing Office to ensure all payments are taken care of, sign their transfer acceptance form and receive a transfer slip. Student may begin their transfer on Friday at 9am once they have gotten their transfer slip from the Housing Office.
