Housing Online Services (RMS)
You must currently live on campus to access Housing Online Services (RMS).
You may Sign-Up online for future housing, fill out a work order for your room, update contact information, change your password and other general information.
Maintenance Work Orders
Complete a work order request online through Housing Online Services (RMS). Work is completed on a first-received, first-served basis, except for emergencies. Maintenance personnel will enter the unit to complete the request, work orders are completed between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM M - F. Residents should notify the Housing & Residential Life staff if a request is not responded to within 72 hours.
Consolidation
Housing reserves the right to consolidate units by requiring residents without roommates to move into other units with vacancies. All empty spaces must be available for immediate occupancy by new or transferring residents at all times.
Transfers
Complete a Room Transfer Request Form and submit the form to your building front desk. If approved, the you must move to the newly assigned unit. Transfers are permitted during the second week of classes each semester. Changes require the approval of the current Residence Life Coordinator. If a student transfers to a more expensive unit, payment must be made prior to transferring.
Residents who move to another room without proper authorization from the Housing Office will be required to return to their original assigned space immediately, and will be charged an improper check-out fee of $100.00.
Residents returning for the next term must relocate (transfer) to thier new assignment within 24 hours upon being notified of thier assignment's availability for occupancy.
Semester Breaks
Students may remain in thier room assignment at no additional charge during the semester breaks as long as they have a signed Housing Agreement for the next term and all housing fees have been paid. Residential areas remain open during all holiday and vacation periods.
How do I check-out?
Check-Out with RA:
There are two ways that you can check-out. First with your RA and second through Express Check-Out. If you have any questions, please talk to your RA, your Complex Office, or the Housing Office.
- Check-Outs with an RA take place between 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM, unless prior arrangements are made. Make an appointment with your RA at least 24 hours in advance. If you can not meet with your RA during these times, speak with your RA to make other arrangements.
- At the time of your check-out, meet your RA at the designated area. During the check-out, the RA will have your room inventory form, keycard and mail forward card. The RA will inspect the entire room ⁄suite ⁄apartment and furnishings for damages and cleanliness.
- After you and the RA inspect the room ⁄apartment, you and the RA will collect the key(s) and complete all forms.
- You are responsible for the cleanliness of the room ⁄ suite ⁄ apartment. All trash and any personal items must be removed prior to check-out. Charges will be assessed for cleaning required or any damages to the room ⁄ suite ⁄ apartment.
Express Check-Out:
- Complete the Express Check-Out Form available at the Front Desk of your residence hall.
- Submit the completed Express Check-Out Form with your key(s) and the mail forward card to the Front Desk of your residence hall. Express Check-Out can be used 24 hours a day. University Park Apartments can use Express Check-Out during Building A office hours only.
- Express Check-Out, waives all rights to damages or charges. You cannot appeal charges if you choose Express Check-Out. Resident Assistants will complete your room inventory form after you Check-Out. If you suspect that you may be charged for items in the apartment ⁄room, DO NOT use Express Check-Out.
Check-Out Charges:
- Failure to make an appointment with the RA within the appropriate time frame: $25.00
- Failure to show up for check-out appointment, no effort made to inform RA: $25.00
- Moving out and not checking out with RA or through Express Check-Out: $100.00
- Room key not returned: $65.00
- Mail key not returned: $10.00
- Extra cleaning: $20.00 minimum per hour
- Any damages: Charges according to cost of repairs
- Unapproved days in housing beyond check-out: $100.00 per day
